Bootcamps are specialised programs arranged to teach its participants about a particular field of study, especially for courses related to computer science, software development and artificial intelligence. They are often short-paced, lasting from three months to one year, after which they help graduates get jobs or internships, while endorsing them with certificates.

There are boot camps that offer help to Nigerians in gaining web3 knowledge. Most of these boot camps are organised by companies based on blockchain technology and non-profit organisations interested in spreading knowledge on web3 at little to no cost. These bootcamps aim to produce well-taught web3 developers who will get jobs and fix the unemployment gap, and introduce Nigerians into every sector of web3, including upcoming ones.

These programs are often fixed on a particular demographic, age gap or education status. Some of them are also gender-specific, catering to one gender. They all have different requirements expected from applicants and offer varied incentives.

Web3 Bridge

Web3Bridge is a tech company based in Lagos founded in 2019 that specialises in grooming individuals with blockchain technologies. They hold an annual conference, The Web3 Lagos Conference, a physical-cum virtual event that comprises different events based on educating its attendants on the tenets of blockchain technology by different notable speakers. The dates and location each year vary, and are announced by the organisers on their official website and social media platforms.

Web3Bridge offers a lot of programs which are curated to train blockchain enthusiasts in different fields namely; Web3 Registration, Specialised Class registration and Cairo Class Registration. Each cohort lasts for sixteen weeks which helps beginners soft launch their careers in blockchain development. It is free, gender neutral and remote-based. Crypto Bootcamp Community

Crypto Bootcamp Community is a blockchain education platform which offers beginners the opportunity to gain sustainable Web3 skills. Their bootcamp has different diversions which include blockchain development, blockchain project management, blockchain project analysis, content writing and AI prompting, and community management and operations.

They have hosted three successful cohorts. The fourth cohort of the bootcamp is to last for four weeks, from 1st of October 2023 to 28th of October 2023.

Participants have the opportunity to learn from leading industry experts, be part of an active community, and establish professional relationships and connect with potential employers seeking verified blockchain talent.

Crypto Ladies League

Crypto Ladies League is a professional association of women in the blockchain industry with the aim of bridging the gender gap and lack of diversity in the web3 space. Women are grossly underrepresented and with their programs, and with their long-standing goal of changing this, Crypto Ladies League has successfully onboarded no less than a thousand women and empowered them with web3 skills.

They hold free bootcamps from time to time, often lasting some days to a week. Their just concluded Web3 Marketing bootcamp lasted a duration of four weeks, from the 6th to the 29th of September, 2023. With a barrage of exciting partnerships announced on their social media pages, there is bound to be new courses and bootcamps.

Web3 Ladies

Web3 Ladies is a leading platform focused on raising the next generation of female blockchain engineers by equipping them with the relevant skills. It was founded by Nigeria’s first female blockchain engineer, Oluchi Enebeli, who has a long standing motivation for helping women passionate about technology. They are active sponsors and partners of web3 events happening in Nigeria.

The fourth cohort of the Web3 Ladies Mentorship cohort application closed on the 13th of August, 2023. The free ongoing program started on the 11th of September, 2023. The tracks being taught are web development, blockchain development, product management and product design. Applicants are advised not to apply for more than one study track. At the end of this cohort, applications for the next will reopen.
