UTU Trust API/SDK: The primary access point to UTU’s trust infrastructure. The UTU Trust API enables businesses to directly integrate UTU’s decentralized reputation, reviews, endorsements, and recommendations mechanism into their dApps and Apps. The API provides signals to end users about their network’s interactions with a particular asset/entity on the web. The SDK provides pre-built front-ends that can be dropped into any dApp or App quite easily, replacing the need to build your own feedback or review mechanism. UTU signals help a dApp’s users to feel safe when connecting their wallet to the dApp and interact with users, tokens, pools, wallets, and other entities within the platform.

UTU Trust Token (UTT): UTT is your reputation on the internet. It’s a non-transferable token that can’t be bought or sold, only earned by connecting your socials to UTU protocol and staking on your feedback and endorsements on the UTU protocol. Staked UTT endorsements pay rewards in UTT and $UTU when you help others get good outcomes from their online interactions. You can also lose your staked UTT if your endorsements end up harming others.

UTU Coin ($UTU): $UTU is the native currency of the UTU Protocol. It allows users to access content and signals from their network on the UTU protocol and is freely tradeable. Staked UTT endorsements on the UTU protocol pay rewards in $UTU from the Ecosystem Growth Pool and user fees. Building your reputation on the protocol also earns you $UTU.

UTU Protocol: UTU Protocol is the collection of smart contracts for UTU Trust Token (UTT) and $UTU as well as their corresponding governance mechanisms. Various products and services can be built atop the UTU Protocol via the Trust API/SDK. Users will eventually be able to store all data in a decentralized (or centralized) file storage according to their preferences.

UTU Trust Browser Extension: UTU’s Flagship consumer product built atop the UTU protocol. Its main function is to keep you safe while you browse online. The extension uses on-chain endorsements & feedback from the people you trust to provide you with feedback on digital assets from your network. You have complete control over the network from which UTU will show you signals, based on your wallet interactions and any web2 or web3 identities or social media (e.g. Telegram, Twitter) you connect to the protocol. Currently, the browser extension can only show you feedback and endorsements about domains, but soon you’ll be able to see and leave feedback and endorsements about any uniquely identifiable asset on the web!

UTU Creditworthiness API: Powers the Africa Defi Alliance with AI/ML-based scoring particularly for African MSMEs aggregated by network operators or platforms (mobility, retail, distribution, agricultural, etc.). Apps can query the UTU Creditworthiness API to get a % likelihood of default for a particular loan based on users’ transaction history in-app and other structured/unstructured data provided by the platform or user. The API can also be queried to return the borrowing power of a user at a certain default tolerance.

UTU MPESA API: Allows a user of your App or dApp to upload their encrypted PDF MPESA statement to be validated as authentic, and unmanipulated, and then parses the data into a usable format for our creditworthiness API. This also works with some other mobile money statements beyond MPESA.
